The 3rd annual bike festival laid on by BMAD (Bikers Make a Difference) in 2007 and I have a confession to make. This is the first that I have managed to get to. The BMAD organised an excellent event with non-stop live bands, stunt riders, Wall of Death and loads of trade stands. Thousands of bikers, thousands of motorbikes alongside South Devon sands and all bathed in brilliant sunshine. There were marshalls galore on hand to offer help and take donations for charity. All of this is supported by the local authority and the Police who were offering safe riding lessons throughout the day. This event can only get bigger. Make this a firm date in your calendar for each year and then dash up to Locks Bottom near Oprington, Kent for the Mayday ride to Hastings on the May bank holiday Monday.
