Wheelies are often popped by the race machines ridden up the famous
Goodwood House Hill but world champion stunt rider Chris Pfeiffer
will be raising the game to new heights. The German ace is under
contract to BMW and does things with their 800cc parallel twin
that the word ‘unbelievable’ does not begin to describe. James
Toseland, Troy Bayliss, Troy Corser, Max Biaggi and Yukio Kagayama
are entered on their World Championship Superbikes, while former
world superbike champions on the card include Carl Fogarty and
Neil Hodgson. Ron Haslam will be riding Joey Dunlop’s 2001 SP-1
and Honda are bringing some rare metal over from their Motegi
Collection to be ridden by Jim Redman, Tommy Robb and Stuart Graham.
Terry Rymer and Michael Rutter are also riding, and some American
muscle bikes are being demonstrated by Confederate Motorcycles,
Buell and Moto Czyzs. Harley are also looking at joining the party
by giving British fans their first chance to see in action the
new XR1200 made-for-Europe Sportster that got the thumbs up when
shown at the NEC last November.

Track
day, 29th June Pembury South Wales with NCMCC. We have recieved
an invite as follows;
It is at the end of the M4 down by the sea. It is about 240 miles
from here. The cost is Ł89 for the June 29th one and Ł99 per day
for the 2 day one in July. Spectators are welcome but it can get
a bit boring watching your mates having fun. We always go the
night before and camp in the paddock because sign on is at 7am
and the briefing is at 8.30am. You would need to sort transport
for the bikes as its not a good idea to ride there and also do
a track day and ride home again, it is very knackering.

b2b
Sunday 13th July An application/information form is here.
As last year, started from Atlantic Village but this year the
finish is at the Exeter Racecourse, Haldon Hill, near Exeter.
This is a fantastic venue with lots of hard standing for bikes
to park on. If it were not for the support of people like us,
it would not be possible to raise the Ł2.2 needed every year to
keep two Air Ambulances flying. In the autumn Devon Air Ambulance
will be taking delivery of a new EC135 helicopter.
The
charity has taken the decision to buy this aircraft, instead of
leasing, as it has many cost saving advantages. Again this would
not have been possible without the fantastic support of the people
of Devon.
Please
pass on the details of this event to all the bikers you know,
and help us make this year's b2b the biggest and best yet!
The
ride will be leaving Atlantic Village, Bideford at 10.15am, with
those registered requested to turn up by 9.45am and those who
need to register to arrive by 9.15am. The first bikes will depart
at 10.15am.

Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th February. The Bath and West Showground

Naturally given the time of year most of the action happens inside
and well away from any possibility of snow and wet. Attendance
grows each year, with plenty of room to expand, with more than
18,000 people descending on the halls each year.

music of Steve Marriott • Small Faces • Humble Pie • The Kinks
• The Who • The Move • Desmond Dekker • Nashvilleteens • Pretty

that band is?" Noel Gallagher talking to Paul Weller after
hearing The Mods.
From
the Wharf website:
Regarded by many as the best tribute in the world to the golden
age of pop 1964 - 1970, "The Mods" return to The Wharf with their
celebration of 60's music. Armed with some new songs this promises
to be a special night and will feature music by The Who, The Kinks,
The Small Faces, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and many more,
Prepare to be entertained like never before, with a set designed
for maximum audience involvement and so much fun. Performed by
world class musicians who have played in, among others, Queen,
Paul Young’s Band, Tina Turner's Band and Gillan, the songs include
"Won’t Get Fooled Again", "Can't Explain", "Gimme Some Lovin'",
"The Israelites", "Lazy Sunday", "Itchycoo Park", "Purple Haze",
"Light my Fire", "Baby Please Don't Go", "All Day and All of the
Night", "You Really Got Me", "We've Gotta Get Out Of This Place"
and many more. The Mods cover such a huge range of material and
play with such passion that it is not surprising that Time Out
magazine said that this is without doubt the best 60’s party you
will ever attend.

SEPTEMBER

Saturday
12th September 8pm. G2
DEFINITIVE GENESIS Tickets
from Ł10. You have to be a little bit mad to want to replicate
the layered, complex sound of 1970’s Genesis and G2 have been
doing just that successfully for 8 years. The sound was unique
then and remains so now when G2 play it. G2 Definitive Genesis
pay tribute to the vintage period in Genesis’ long and colourful
history, the four-man era, sometimes referred to as The Intermediate
Years (1975 - 78). It’s the mid/late seventies and Peter Gabriel
had recently departed to be replaced by relatively unknown ‘singing’
drummer Phil Collins.

March The Mods Band Regarded by many as the best tribute in
the world to the golden age of pop, The Wharf welcomes the return
of The Mods with their celebration of sixties music. With Johnny
Warman on lead vocals the band also includes Rhino Edwards from
Status Quo on bass and Spike Edney from Queen playing keyboards
and it is little wonder that they concentrate on faithfully reproducing
the sounds of the very best music from The Who, Small Faces, The
Doors, The Yardbirds, The Kinks any many more.
The
Mods have appeared alongside Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher and
Time Out magazine said that this is without doubt the best 60’s
party you will ever attend. www.tavistockwharf.com

With the support of Cornwall Council I have secured a 1500 sq
meter display arena, in Walton Fields, Saltash, with early event
consultation our expected community attendance is in the region
of 10000 people. Cornwall Air Ambulance has been selected as the
over all, event charity as its felt this, is one of the few emergency
services that truly links us with the biker world. I am hoping
to link to a large number of Devon and Cornwall clubs and ask
you to consider arranging your own local club ride outs on the
day. Arrangements are underway for a large bike arena, live music,
bike related display stands. Basically the whole day will be planned
around the enjoyment of you the biker!
Displays
agreed to so far are: Fire Service (turn table ladder, De-con
