On 30th December 2007 a few of us who were well and had working bikes met at South Molton and cut through Exmoor via Exbridge, Simonsbath and Luccombe.

There was a comfort break and photo opportunity at Allerford just off the A39.

Here we can see the approach to the first Porlock Hill bend as we leave Porlock. Lots of bikers have come off here and almost always due to a car driver getting the gear wrong and stopping. You need to keep the power on and in the correct gear. Lyn missed the chance of a photo on the next bend as a 50 seater coach cutting across our side of the road took her mind off the matter in hand!

Once past Porlock Hill, we made our way back home via Lynton. About 100 mile trip in largely dry and overcast weather made for a really nice ride that is even better in the summer if Grockles can be avoided.
