Venturing back across the prehistoric Clapper Bridge at Tarr Steps . The map shows a 'ford' alongside the bridge but a biker needs to be very brave, stupid or have four wheels to attempt a crossing. The floor of the river is very stoney and fairly deep. You have been warned! We decided to double back.
