De
Haan, Belgium
12th-13th June 2008

Belgium seemed like a good place to make for the first night. As we were
going to arrive late that evening we decided that pre-booking was a sound
idea. On line we found the Stella
Maris in De Haan. De Haan is near to Brugges and right on the English
Channel. It turned out to be a delightful town and the Stella Maris is
based in a quiet residential area and the owners by happy coincidence
are bikers too. A very nice start to our trip.

The Stella Maris is one of the oldest buildings in De Haan and is quirky
as demonstrated by Andy and Ben in the main hallway.

Being so close, we had to have a quick gander at Brugges before setting
off for the XS1100 rally in Germany
