Leaving Devon at 8.00hrs, the intrepid four make Ullapool for 23.45hrs with only petrol stops and 1 stop for food.

With advance warning that the A9 was blocked, a diversion was made through Glen Coe, but this road too was blocked. A 50 mile detour via Oban was the last option open. A total of 750 miles were covered during the day, hence the dirty but slightly smug faces.
